Behind fresh water fish, cats are my second most likeable pet in our geannhomegarden.

Our female pet cat was a birthday gift to me from a little boy in the neighborhood, two years ago.

Like any other domesticated cat, I love Kat-cat because she likes to show various body language, loves to play, intelligent, and at times she will jump twisting her body to land on the ground rightly with its legs. Occasionally, she would even go after/imitate my body movements during an 8-minute Taebo workouts (especially when she’s nearby and waiting for her meal).

She likes to disperse playfully small group of passer-by white egrets attracted to feed in our mini ponds, chase stray dogs inside geannhomegarden, keep her watch to distant areas where she can hear movements/sounds that I can’t hear. I also became familiar with her strange language; a short “purring” means she’s hungry; “mewing” indicates greetings/requests; her short “hiss” means irritation and “grunting” means she’s bored.

Three male cats started to visit her at random recently. And most of the time she hides quietly in the concealed middle branch of an Avocado tree, about eight meters high until her visitor got tired of looking/waiting for her.

I’ve known my pet cat as a night hunter. She never spends the evening in her cot. She’s adapted to hunting small snakes, skinks and vermin. By 5:00 o’clock in the morning, she’s curled deeply in her cot till her regular meal time around 7:00am. She enters the house with a melodic mew and start bumping his head, body and tail into my legs. Lately, she has begun to tap with her forehands the arm of my spouse whenever she wants to eat home cook meals. Her favorite meal is our favorite too - Sinigang na Bangus sa Mustasa.

Now, I’m feeling to have a cat nap; it’s a short rest that refers to the cat's tendency to fall asleep lightly for a short time. Have a blessed day everyone.
